Surcharges

FSC will be adjusted on a monthly basis. The basis on which our fuel surcharge is set is by reference to oil prices of the US Gulf Coast (USGC), as reported monthly by the US Department of Energy. Any impending changes will be published on our website 2 weeks before the effective date.

The FSC is calculated based on the Yamato Transport Europe Fuel Surcharge Index (Y-FSC Index). This index is based on the USGC oil price two and half months before our surcharge is effective. (For example: Jan 2015's rate was based on the USGC oil price as at Nov 2014. Referring this cost to the table below will give you the applicable FSC rate) The FSC is applied to shipping (freight) charges only. It is not applied to ancillary or other charges.

CAF will be adjusted on a monthly basis. The basis on which our currency adjustment factor is set is by reference to the exchange of the EURO/Japanese Yen and GBP Sterling/Japanese Yen using the rates published by Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. Any impending changes will be published on our website 2 weeks before the effective date.

The CAF is calculated accordance with the table below which is set by using the average rate (TTM) which is taking the reference to the exchange of the EURO/Japanese Yen and GBP Sterling/ Japanese Yen using the rates published by Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ at the end of 2 months prior of its calculation. e.g.) CAF rates of August 2016; GBP = 5%, EUR = 3% accordance to the exchange rate at the end of June 2016, GBP1.00- = \138.41, EUR1.00- = \114.39 The CAF is applied to shipping (freight) charges only. It is not applied to ancillary or other charges.
